As a reminder you may want to call in your payment if possible as the due dates for Mortgages, Loans and Credit Cards are still due at the pre-determined payment dates and the creditors may or may not be as lenient despite the weather conditions.
The term “Affected by Natural Disaster” on a credit report as we have seen before due to Storms or Hurricanes in the South or Mid West does not invalidate or remove any potential late activity from the reporting creditor if payments are missed.
As the year moves quickly on, if you have not already investigated “Bill Paying Software”, you may want to investigate the different options as a great way to stay on top of your bills, payments and overall payment due dates to avoid those late charges and potential reported late payments to your Credit File.
